Beacon of Light is a guiding light for the mentally challenged and developmentally delayed.

Respecting that each person is an individual, Beacon of Light, Ltd. will provide choice opportunities, securing the individual’s contributing role in the community.

Beacon of Light, Ltd. firmly believes that our greatest resource is our individual and collective commitment to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our clients.

The great thing about supportive living is that it offers the individuals a wide-range of service options. We provide choices, encourage independence, and offers appropriate support without taking over the person’s life.

Our day habilitation services include outings, crafts, computer skills, reading, personal care, skill reinforcement and job vocation.

Beacon Offers Elderly Care Services

Did you know that we also do elderly care? We can provide:

Grocery shopping
Light cleaning
Laundry
Grooming
Cooking
And more!

To be eligible, they must -

Be at least 60 years old
Have Medicaid
Have a medical diagnosis which causes a need for assistance in the home
Meet certain income requirements.

Learn to Save a Life at Beacon

Our very own Lamont Love has been certified to train others in First Aide/CPR for adult, child and infant. He can also teach the AED (Automated External Defibrillator) courses. Lamont is the Human Resource Manager at the Beacon of Light.

He is holding classes every Saturday at the Beacon of Light for training and certification and certification renewal. If you, or someone you know, needs First Aide/CPR/AED training, please call Lamont at the Beacon of Light at 419-536-4730. Anyone can attend even if they do not work for the Beacon of Light.

Welcome to the new Beacon of Light website!

We worked real hard to get a web presence that could effectively communicate all the services, triumphs and successes that happen at the Beacon of Light every day, week, month and year on behalf of and with our very special clients.

We want you to celebrate with our employee of the month, cheer on our consumers in the sports tournaments or at the Special Olympics, and be informed about all the new happenings and service offerings that Beacon of Light provides.
