August Employees of the Month

This month Beacon of Light has two employees of the month we’d like to celebrate: Mario Thomas and Mary Allen.

Mario has gained the trust and respect of the guardian and employees by being extra conscientious of the consumer’s needs. He is very dependable and flexible, completing needed paperwork and covering shifts as needed.

Mary has been with the Beacon of Light for over 3 years and works in our Dayhab. She is very dependable, reliable and trustworthy. Consumers and parents alike have nothing but good things to say about her commitment to the health and welfare of the consumer.

Mario Thomas and Mary Allen are valuable assets to the Beacon of Light and we all appreciate them very much.

Kelly Gets Gold at Special Olympics

One of our very own, Kelly Wagner, recently won 2 gold medals at the Special Olympics for the 200 meter relay and long jump. She was even able to go and compete in Columbus for the 2010 Special Olympics State Summer Games, at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University. This year’s State Summer Games occurred from Friday through Sunday, June 25-27.

We are really proud of Kelly for all the hardwork she put into getting prepared and playing at the event.

July Employee of the Month

While all our employees are awesome, one special employee is selected each month for going above and beyond the call of duty. This person is given a monetary reward and a certificate of appreciation signed by Beacon’s President. Brandon Greenwade is our first Employee of the Month for July!

Brandon started working for Beacon almost a year ago. From the very start, he has been very hard-working and dependable. He also exemplifies loyalty to his work that makes him the Beacoon MVP for July.
